Explore the most powerful cryptocurrency and the inquiries into the associated illegal activity. Explores the explanations for and how Bitcoin has been invented. Take a look at the popular criminal schemes used by Bitcoin in cryptocurrency mining, and how anti-money laundering and compliance experts use sophisticated analytical techniques to investigate criminal activities linked to it.

Get an overview of the Internet section widely used by criminals and their criminal enterprises. Students learn about extra crimes involving bitcoin, the use of peer-to – peer exchanges by offenders, and little-known tips for real-world investigation.

Discloses the illegal aspect of the blockchain and how the evidence left behind can be found and monitored. Students are exposed to perspectives, such as how dark web markets and cryptocurrencies operate together and how they translate into the physical world, that are important to researchers.

Are there any prerequisites for CCI?

The training is designed for investigators and compliance officers who use different cryptocurrency and blockchain investigation tools, so participants are expected to be inquisitive, have an investigative mindset, and understand the basics of blockchain technology.

What certification will I get from the training?

Passing the final test earns you the Certified Cryptocurrency Investigator (CCI) credential, issued and verifiable by Blockchain Intelligence Group.

What format of questions are on the final test?

Most of the questions are multiple choice. There are also some true/false questions and a few questions that ask you to match things to other things.

Is there a test for each module, or one final test?

Both. There are multiple lessons in each module, and at the end of each lesson there is a short quiz. At the end of each module there is a test. Finally, at the end of all the modules there is a final test, which is the test you need to pass to earn the Certified Cryptocurrency Investigator credential.

When is the registration deadline?

Because our training takes a hands-on approach, the lab has limited capacity and often fills up more than a month in advance. When you decide on a cohort, we advise signing up early to make sure of your spot.

After registration, how will I know if I’ve been approved and receive more information?

You will be contacted by email confirming your course registration. We will also be in touch 1 week before your course, and a final email will be sent 48 hours before the start to remind you of the plans. In a subsequent email, you will get your invoice along with payment options. If you haven’t received these emails, please check your spam folder.

What grade do I need on the final test to earn the CCI credential?

To earn the Certified Cryptocurrency Investigator (CCI) credential, you must score at least 80% on the final test at the end of the final module.

Go to My Dashboard > Certificates, where you can view and download it. Our team will also send you the file via an FTP link, which you can use digitally (in your email signature, for example) to showcase your new certification online.
